Edit Your Profile

It is easy to edit the personal profile you created when you registered as a netTrekker user. Your personal profile contains information about your password and your role as either a teacher or student.

Edit Your Profile
Here's how to edit your personal profile:

  • Access Your Profile
To access your profile, and make changes to it, click on Profile in the My Tools box at the right of any page.
    • Example of Profile in My Tools:

  • Make Changes to Your Profile
netTrekker will immediately display your personal profile. By filling out this form you are permanently changing your current account information.

      Example of a Personal Profile:
      Profile

    Password (and Re-enter Your Password)
Create a new password in the Password field. Repeat your new password in the Confirm Password field for verification.

    Password Question and Answer
Choose a Question from the drop-down menu and provide an answer that you will clearly remember. These "hints" will be provided to you in the event that you ever forget your password and need a little help.

    Your School Role
Choose a role to allow netTrekker to adjust the interface accordingly. For example, netTrekker automatically hides the Features toolbox and the MyTools toolbox for students registering to an elementary school, but shows them for teachers.

    Your School
If you move from one school to another in a district, you can change your school by clicking on the Your School pull-down menu and choosing the correct school listed there.

  • Save Your Changes
When you have completed your changes to your profile, click to save.
