The netTrekker Legend is an explanatory list of the icons used on a Search Result page. These icons provide information on the contents of a particular website, such as whether it has pictures, primary source documents, audio content, and more.

The website may contain "controversial material," meaning any content that, although educational, may be deemed offensive or inappropriate for viewing. Types of controversial material include information on human sexuality, drugs, graphic images, potentially offensive language, or opinions on race and/or religion (hate speech) that may be offensive to some users.

On a scale from 1 to 5 (5 being the highest), a netTrekker teacher/evaluator rates each website based upon its academic credibility, subject depth, writing style, visual appeal, and relevant content.

	The website contains audio files that you can either download to your PC or listen to over the Internet using streaming technology, such as RealAudio files with RealPlayer, a free audio program. The free media software must be installed on your computer first before these files will operate.
