Advanced Search
netTrekker enables you to detail a search based on content type (multimedia), website source, language, controversial topics, and location in the netTrekker directory.
You can refine your search at any time by clicking "Advanced Search," located at the top of the page.
The Advanced Search is always represented within the context of your current
location in either Elementary, Middle, High, or Standards netTrekker. To
refine your search without any context (to perform a New Advanced Search)
in each area click

Advanced Search enables you to focus your Search Results to include very specific options. To refine your search, complete any of the following:
Keyword or Phrase
You can refine your search by filling in keywords or phrases in the blanks
provided. You can ask netTrekker to search for a full phrase, a variety
of words, or even to exclude certain words
Subject (available when a subject area
has not yet been selected)
Use the pull-down menus to
select a subject area (Science, Language Arts, etc.), as well as a more
detailed topic area. Narrow your search to a specific school subject in netTrekker.
Source Type
Use the pull-down menus to select specific domain types and website sources.
Choices include:
Rating
All netTrekker website resources are given an Overall Rating between 1 and 5 (with 5 being the highest). Use the
pull-down menu if you would like to refine your Search Results
to a single overall rating.
Multimedia
Use the pull-down menus to select a specific type of content that you want
included in the websites that make up your Search Result.
Choices include:
Learning Aids
Use the pull-down menus to select specific learning aids that you want included in the websites that make up your Search Result. Choices include:
Use the pull-down menus to select specific resource collections that you want included in the websites that make up your Search Result. Choices include:
Language
Use the pull-down menus to select a language for your Search Result.
Choices include:
Controversial Material
You may choose to filter out controversial material from your Search
Result. The default is "No Filtering."
Wikipedia
You may choose to filter out Wikipedia resources from your Search Result.
The default is "No Filtering."
When you have selected all you wish to select, click

located at both the top and bottom of the screen. A Search
Result page will appear, listing only those websites which include
your selection.
